Hey Ben, do you watch The Venture Bros on adult swim?  I get the feeling that would be right up your alley.  Talk about pop-culture porn…  You really need to see the “Dia de los Dangerous” episode, which is built around a fantastic Scooby-Doo parody.  (Think Daphne as Patty Hearst and Shaggy as Son of Sam.)  I’m not usually enamored of Hanna-Barbera parodies, because it’s just too easy.  But they really stick the landing.

Wow, I feel like I’m in some sort of seminar.

Just so you know, there is a tie-in with James Woods & 9/11.  He had taken the Boston to LA flight (I forget the numbers) shortly before 9/11 and I think the story goes that he saw someone fitting the profile, if you will, doing some suspicious stuff (I’m forgetting details–sorry).  In retrospect, it absolutely would appear to have been a “test run”.  But, he reported it and the CIA or FBI knew about it, yadda yadda, so I think James Woods strongly believes that he could have prevented 9/11 single-handedly if people would have just listened to him.  I saw him tell the story on Leno and Letterman I believe.
