The genuine love this cast has for each other also shines through, and it makes sense that these characters would develop into a family by the end of the run; even if it’s been years since they’ve seen each other, they’ll do anything for each other and are thrilled for each other’s milestone moments.  The inventive ways they made local government entertaining to watch for a half hour each week were impressive, too.  What started as a show about a Pit quickly developed into an absolute gem of comedy greatness that never quite got the recognition it deserved.  There’s still time, Emmys.
