For the third time in American Idol history, the audition round found itself in Austin. Austin is now the most-visited audition stop in the U.S. That’s pretty amazing and I’m betting housing values just went up and we shouldn’t be surprised to see their City Council to vote on a new city nickname. Something like, “Audition Town U.S.A.”
So how’s everyone doing? Are we liking this season? From what I can cull on the Internet, in chat rooms, in comments on my articles and on other articles, headlines on entertainment websites …Idol fans are loving this season. It’s the same show. So far. Time will tell how this group of judges, along with Fox and friends, how they’ll do when picking the kids out of Hollywood as they gather in rooms awaiting their fate. Time will tell if the youth movement will spell doom once Idol becomes a weekly talent showcase and variety show. Time will tell if the happy judges can withstand the relentless weekly performances/results, the interviews, the critics, and how bad it will be when someone snaps.
