After what our nation endured through the 2016 Presidential race, in the months following the election, Inauguration Day, and in the month or since Trump became President, I don’t care which side you’re on, aren’t you ready for something substantial on TV? Aren’t you ready for someone to win something based on skill, intelligence, and the ability to outlast, outwit, and tell fewer lies than someone else? I dare you to disagree that the person who wins Survivor: Game Changers won’t have to tell less half-truths and spout outright bullshit than the person we choose to run the good ol’ U.S. of A. And I don’t care what side of the political spectrum you’re on.
Politicians lie a great deal. Survivor contestants lie a lot less.
And if you thought I opened this article with that paragraph just so I could mention politics, Donald Trump, and immigration in order for my Survivor Blog to show up on search engines when people type in search terms like “wall” and “Obama wire tap”, you’re only partly correct.
Here we are. Season 34. CBS is calling it “Game Changers” and I’ll have to be OK with the theme, even though only about half the cast were true game-changers during their seasons. The others, well, they were fun, and some even won, but not everybody pulled moves and told lies and are memorable because of it.
