Nick sang with all the groups on “That’s What Christmas Means to Me” and it’s a lovely reminder that Nick Lachey actually possesses a talent beyond sleeping with hot babes and enduring Jessica Simpson’s confusion about canned tuna. SPECIAL GUESTS

I was least impressed by Sheryl Crowe, who trotted out a new single, the gospel tinged  “Long Road Home”.  She was backed up by The Backbeats and Jerry Lawson.

Sarah Bareilles was also joined by The Backbeats on “The King of Anything”.  Apparently, she went to UCLA and sang A Capella as well.  It was pleasant but instantly forgettable.

Neil Diamond sang “Ain’t No Sunshine” with Street Corner and Committed on backup.  Neil looks damn good considering he’ll be 70 next year!  This is a cool arrangement with a lot of spotlight for Neil as well as some cool harmonies for both groups’ vocalists.
