The comment of the night of course came from host Nick Lachey who said, immediately following their performance, that it was “getting hot in there …dare I say …’98 degrees?'” And that’s the name of his own former boy-band! Get it? A call back. Did he write that? Or did someone write that for him? Or is that a pick-up line he’s used many, many times? And would that pick-up line work for me?
Urban Method will not give up on their rap heavy style and picked The Black Eyed Peas “Just Can’t Get Enough” which was totally good until, um …the rap. I don’t care what Sara Bareillis says. She loved them. And, I mean ….so did I until the rap dude ran out and started yelling at me. Rap doesn’t scare me like it does many white people, but that rap last night scared me. Funny …of all the rap that would make me feel threatened …an a cappella version of a Black Eyed Peas song finally does it. I must be old.
