Zing! Take that NBC! Booyah!

How should I recap this? Should I comment on each group and then each judge’s comments on each group? I’m thinking, “no.” I’m thinking that’s a little crazy because, well, I Tivo’d past most of the judge’s comments. Why? Well, because all three of the judges are always nice and niether of the three of them are stupid or spaced-out enough to entertain me. Although I can say, from the comments I saw, Sara B (aka Sara Bareilles) is hilarious. Sara has that aw-shucks this-is-fun demeanor but still manages to slip in some spot-on critique, suggestions, and technical mumbo jumbo. Remember when American Idol was trying to find a fourth judge and picked Kara DioGruardi? Um …they didn’t really look very hard, did they. Sara Bareilles was right there under their noses. I also am willing to bet Norah Jones is super funny and cute and would be good on a show like The Sing-Off. In fact, I think Norah Jone and Sara Bareiles should hang out. And they should hang out with me. We’d be awesome, the three of us, being all anti-establishment, but smart enough to know we’re actually, and ironically, part of the establishment.

One Response to The Sing-Off, Season 3, Premiere: It’s Twice as Big (Half as Watched))

Yeah, Delilah was awesome, and adorable to boot. I liked both of the college groups that performed, although I could have done without the whole “Mormons can still date! And also kiss!” pre-roll package.

And, FYI, Chuck was NOT cancelled, rather it was moved to Friday for a fifth and pre-determined final season.
