Fannin Family – Somehow this family has 11 kids and they appear to all have been born within 7 years. I don’t know how. They were pretty good. The 14-year-old was the lead and unfortunately the bad thing about being in a singing group with your family, it’s awfully hard to kick out the bad singers. And there were at least two bad singers. Oh well …eventually that 14-year-old might get a call from Delilah (see above).

The Cat’s Pajamas – Five guys who tried out for Jersey Boys but didn’t make and are now singing 12 shows a week in Branson, Missouri where bus loads of elderly church groups roll in day after day after day to hear the same Kenny Rogers songs over and over and over again. These dudes looked sorta creepy to begin with, but when you combine it with their “please God get me outta Branson” desperation, it was a bit disturbing.

One Response to The Sing-Off, Season 3, Premiere: It’s Twice as Big (Half as Watched))

Yeah, Delilah was awesome, and adorable to boot. I liked both of the college groups that performed, although I could have done without the whole “Mormons can still date! And also kiss!” pre-roll package.

And, FYI, Chuck was NOT cancelled, rather it was moved to Friday for a fifth and pre-determined final season.
