Hi all!

A holiday week in Summer means there isn’t much on TV. Even some of the meager number airing new episodes are taking the week off. Why do you abandon me in my hour of need, Archer and Baskets? But at least we have Big Brother!

Here’s what to watch on TV this week!

8-10 American Ninja Warrior – It’s the Baltimore Qualifiers this week and in a real surprise, Homicide and The Wire creator David Simon will be there to run the course! Sorry to spoil what will surely be the event of the year.

10-11 Legion – “David prepares for a journey”. Vague listings for a weird-ass show! I love you, Legion.

8-9 Big Brother – Probably a Veto competition? It takes a while for the season to stabilize, but I think that’s where we are. I’m not rooting for anybody yet, but last season I never had a favorite and I enjoyed it a lot, so that’s not a necessity.

10-10:30 Drunk History – One of this week’s subjects is Eartha Kitt and they had better cover her brief stint as the third Catwoman on Batman ’66. Oh, shoot. I need to start doing those reviews again! Summer is slipping away!

10:30-11 The Detour – So nobody is trying this week, because this week’s listing is a description of the plot of Season One. Also, the TV Guide website calls it The the Detour.

Hey, Archer: 1999 is taking a week off for the holiday, I guess. That really opens up the available times for me to see Spider-Man: Far from Home.

8-9 Big Brother – This is probably going to be an eviction episode. Eliminate one of the people whose name I can’t remember – that’s going to make things easier for me.

Happy Fourth of July! It’s all repeats and movies tonight! You can watch televised fireworks on NBC, and this is the first year I can remember only one network doing a holiday show. Maybe it’s because Trump politicized the Fourth of July to also be a celebration of him. (NBC’s show is from Macy’s so they’re celebrating only commerce.)

8-9 Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – I am a few episodes behind, but the listing says that the team is facing The Galaxy-Hopping Hate-Beast That Eats Planets and man, that sounds awesome.

8-10 BattleBots – No information available. But you know whether or not you’re into it already.

8-9 Big Brother – Nominations probably! I really regret using up all my square head references on Jackson in the premiere. Hopefully he gets evicted soon because I am tapped out. And I made six seasons of famous albino references on Celebrity Apprentice!

9-10 Fear the Walking Dead – Morgan tries to stop a crisis and he doesn’t even have his stick anymore. It’s his greatest challenge yet!
